Haha she makes me laugh. This afternoon I found her in her sand and water (it's empty, thank goodness) play table with a bag of chips she found. She was being barked at by a really old chihuahua named Pickle who lives next door. Seriously, I was cracking up. This is probably her last time playing on the patio here because we are officially homeowners and moving to our new house tomorrow!!!

Hitting daddy with a stick is funny! We signed the documents for our new house today so we celebrated by going to dinner at Joe's Farm Grill and let Penelope run around and enjoy herself. It was fun!

 I got a better photo, but this one has the best face. She loves taking showers, anytime either Jesse or I get in she begs to come in, too. She sometimes takes 2 showers a day, one with each of us. She's an addict! We don't use soap or shampoo on her, though so there's probably no harm in it.

Before the shower she cut her lip when she was jumping on her bed and hit her mouth on the side. It was sad, but some ice in a paper towel and a shower made it all better.

We've been having a real lazy sort of day. Man her socks are filthy, she went outside with me to throw something out and I was too lazy to put her shoes on. She loves that bunny lovey from my Uncle Paul and Aunt Sheri. My Aunt Carol made her the blanket, she sleeps with both every night (when we can gt her to sleep)!

Jesse was working today so Penelope and I went to the mall to just get out for the day. She loves playing in the play area, she runs around like a wild woman shrieking with joy. She's so polite, though. She always waits her turn to go down the slide and never uses the slide until kids are out of the way, which is WAY more than can be said about other kids. They are a little rowdy for her and she gets trampled and hurt a lot. She's so sensitive and can't understand why it's happening, poor thing! Anyway, she had a great time and was so tuckered afterward! I only had my phone to take the photo so it's not great.

Ramblin'

99 days left until my estimated due date! Double digits! I don't think too much about due dates since I know the baby can come at any time, but it's still exciting. 

AND!!! We close escrow on our first house in 3 weeks! We're gonna be homeowners! Then we have to move and that's never fun but at least we know we'll be staying a while this time. We still have tons of packing to do and we have to buy a few appliances, which we're pretty clueless about. 

The new semester at The Little Gym starts tomorrow. Penelope loves it so much she is going to be so excited to go back. It's super fun, I just wish it wasn't on Saturday mornings before I want to be up! 

That's all I have to say about that.

Clearly this was taken at the grocery store this evening. You can see two red marks on her head. One was from earlier today when she was watching tv but sitting too close to the tv stand, she sneezed and hit her head right on the edge. It was funny but sad. The other red mark on the left was when Jesse went to give her a kiss and she bashed her head into his. Poor kid!

I heard some whining from another room and this is how I found Penelope when I rounded the corner. The camera was within arm's reach so she wasn't stuck for too long. I love how she says "cheeeeeeese" for the camera.

ETA she looks just like my older brother when he was little in this picture! Am I right or what? If you're some kinda super spy you can see me in one of these photos.

Sort of on a roll.

I'm so proud of myself! Instead of sending holiday cards we decided to make New Year cards. We could send them out a little later and Penelope didn't have to get dressed up for the photo, seemed simple enough. I took the picture over a month ago and have been staggering around my free trial of photoshop since then (I only have 5 days of 30 left). I knew there was no way I could edit the photo as well as someone with knowledge of it could so my wonderful friend Manda helped me out with that. Today was the deadline I gave myself so we can print them and send them tomorrow/the next day. It's really simple, but I'm so glad it's done and that I did it!

I'll post the photo when I get them sent out so the surprise isn't ruined for anyone who is getting one in the mail.

We're moving in 4 weeks and now that I'm so proud of myself for accomplishing that today, I should tackle something else and maybe pack something I know we won't need before then.

I've been really down from my weight gain this pregnancy. It's mostly my fault because I eat really bad food (but it feels so good...) and I'm pretty lazy. So today I made sure not to eat a linebacker's serving of sugary cereal and took Penelope on an over mile long walk. Haha baby steps!

Is it just me, or does my child always have food on her face? She really wanted to feed herself her yogurt today and got upset with me just for trying to wipe her chin. She has since had a wardrobe change....

Penelope got a slide from us for one of her holiday gifts, mostly because we wanted her to stop sliding off the back of the couch, and she just loves it! After being out and about for the better part of today she was so happy to get home and start sliding!

Snow day?

We thought we'd want to go to the snow today but woke up feeling not so bright eyed and bushy tailed. The closest snow is over 2 hours away and Penelope wouldn't want to stay long enough to make that much driving worth it, plus we still needed to buy a sled and borrow a snowsuit for her. Penelope has been sleeping not so well lately, but last night was awesome. She was in her own bed all night and only woke up for a tiny bit to make sure we were still there. The cat, however, kept me up a lot. I'm allergic to her so we put her in the second bathroom at night and it seems she learned to open the door. Last night I was constantly chasing her to put her back in and being awoken (awakened?) by her scratching at the door. And between that, I had heartburn and a headache and had to pee approximately 1048 times.

Getting up early to drive for hours to the snow just wasn't as exciting of an idea when the time came to go through with it.

I need to do some shopping today, anyway. This is Jesse's last day off for the holidays and is going back to work tomorrow, looks like we'll just be taking it easy!
